When I launched The Earthworm earlier this year, I wasn’t quite sure what exactly it was going to become. But I did have a very strong idea of what I didn’t want it to be.
I didn’t want it to be the usual (and often very good!) fare found in traditional gardening media, full of How Tos, hints and tips. And whilst I hope that one of the draws of The Earthworm is that at times it does feel personal or intimate, I didn’t want this to be a sort of diary or old-fashioned blog, all me me me.
But seeing as my previous post was all about how you might not hear from me for a while due to the expected arrival of a new family member, and seeing also how many lovely and positive messages and comments I received in response to that post, I couldn’t not share a follow-up…
So, here he is!
Mother and baby are both doing really well. And we are all in awe of the tiny little person who has suddenly moved into our home.
Thanks to all of you who sent good wishes ahead of the birth – everyone at The Earthworm HQ was really touched by your kindness and support.
As I said last time out, I’m going to be taking a break from my regular publishing schedule between now and Christmas, while I spend most of my time changing nappies and pinballing around the house in a sleep-deprived state.
Having said that, there are a few things that simply cannot wait, including the first post in a brand new and very exciting series, which should land in your inbox early next week.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I have an urgent cuddle to attend to.
What a cutie! Enjoy! 💟
Welcome little sweet boy!!!
