Thanks so much for the kind mention! And it's exciting to see the latest from your garden. The ice is nearly melted here and I'm hoping get some peas in the ground this week. If anyone ever makes it to Pittsburgh, I recommend Phipps Conservatory & Botanical Gardens - they have a great collection, beautiful seasonal shows and when it's freezing outside, it's still warm in their Hawaii exhibit!
Great tip, thanks Boaz! And I'm glad to hear the thaw is on its way for you. On that note, I hope a surprise late frost does not rear its ugly head over here (or there!), as it has done in recent years!
Dan and Boaz, this reminds me a little of The 3000 Mile Garden - a correspondence between Roger Philips and Leslie Land. It’s beautiful - he in central London while she was in Maine . One of the first gardening books I read before I even knew I was interested in gardens. (A stealth present by my mother - well done, Mum!)
Thanks ever so much for mentioning The Gardening Mind, Dan , and of course I’m loving The Earthworm- mutual appreciation! LOVING Boaz Frankel’s posts too - what a great discovery.
On best gardens - Iford Manor! You have to go to Iford Manor. Maybe we could have a Substack trip....
pre-pandemic when I worked in an office I loved taking my lunch break in Phoenix Garden. wildlife friendly planting with lots of intimate nooks to sit in https://www.thephoenixgarden.org/
I used to have my lunches there too! But we're talking way way back, when I used to work in an office on Shaftesbury Avenue. Wow has it changed since I was last there (if the photos on that link are anything to go by). I clearly need to revisit it. Thanks so much for the suggestion.

I've never heard of that one! I'll have to look it up. It sounds wonderful!
I hadn’t heard of it either, thank you! Also, I’ve always wanted a pond - this 3,000 mile garden would finally give me one of those
Ha!
