Congratulations! At only a few weeks shy of 67, I can tell you this, the births of my children above all other miracles in my life, rank at the top. Take this time, make no apologies, and do your best at welcoming this little person into your life on planet earth.

Blessing to you and your family. We'll see you on the other side.

Wonderful news, beautifully written.

At the arrival of no. 2 the words I remember were, "oh I'd forgotten about this" and quite a bit of "Oh now I remember this!" So much fun to look forward to, enjoy. ❤️

How exciting!! I had my second just over a year ago and finally slept 8 hours straight last night! (Of course, I had to go to sleep at 8 to make it happen, hahaha.) I'm cheering your wife on and sending you all lots of joy and prayers in the transition!

I couldn't possibly love this more, Dan. Congratulations to you and your family. Going from one to two is no joke, but it's also totally wonderful (even if it takes a bit to get to the wonderful parts 😉)

Enjoy your paternity leave from this newsletter!

Congratulations!! Best of luck to you both, sad delivery, and while your tending to this sprout comes with no good prep classes, you’ll be fine. The kids are all right.

You really had me going. I was really excited to see the propagation and wondered if it would end up like the green and purple spotted amethyst basil that came back this year after spreading its seeds all over the garden last summer. In a way, your sprout will be a charming mingling of the two of you. 🥰

Congratulations, Dan & Ruth! And by all means, take as much time as you need. Those first days and weeks with a newborn are priceless, and once they're gone, you can't get them back. Best wishes to you and your family. ❤️

Such exciting news! I’m excited to read more posts about gardening with babies soon! Or maybe gardening with 2 hours of sleep? But not too soon. Take your time!
